While incarcerated in Hampton Farms Reformatory, he changed his name from, Salvatore to Charlie. He did not change his last name to Luciano until 1928. This photo may have been taken a few years before.
There are two plots at St Johns, Luciano and Lucania. I was told that the reason why he had two was to confuse people of where he was buried. Does anyone know if that is true? Interesting!
Naww. That's not true. In 1935 he brought land in St. Johns Cemetery to build that moseleum under his real family name, Lucania.
I figured that. Thank You!
This mugshot is from 1928, assault and robbery charges, unfortunately no ones seen the hampton farms 1916 mushot, hasn't seemed to have ever surfaced or in a private collection.
