I would love to read more greats books about Black and Latino gangsters from New York, it's a genre that a lot more should be written about.

I think we will see a lot more books and movies about black and latino organized crime, Rodolfo. Too many interesting stories and characters out there for writers and readers.

All the heroin that landed on the streets of Harlem, the Bronx etc in the 1950s and 60s was largely supplied by the Italian Mafia. In particular the Bonanno capo, then Under Boss Carmine Galante.A horrible little psychopath. He was well known as a  "heroin man".He became filthy rich from the misery of millions. He was basically illiterate with an IQ of about 80.But his cunning and ruthlessness is well documented. The man was a stone cold killer.Back in the 1950s,it is well known that he used to test the purity of his product with what was known as the Black man test.Although I'm sure he had a different name for it!He would snatch an addict off the streets of Harlem or the Bowery, shoot them up with a bag of pure heroin and he would measure the length of time it took for the poor man to die.The shorter the time, the purer the smack.Evil personified.
