The Mob Museum in Las Vegas has booked Ioan Grillo, a veteran Latin American journalist and author of the critically-acclaimed El Narco: Inside Mexico’s Criminal Insurgency, to speak about his book Gangster Warlords: Drug Dollars, Killing Fields and the New Politics of Latin America.
Grillo will discuss his investigation into the narco wars in Latin America, the subsequent humanitarian crisis, and how U.S. policies have “led to the rise of a new kind of criminal kingpin, one that’s infinitely more dangerous than any the world has seen before.”
Grillo’s ‘Author Talk’ at the Mob Museum in Las Vegas takes place on Thursday, January 19 at 7 p.m. If you are a member of the museum entrance is free, otherwise it will cost you just the price of admission.
