Genovese crime family captain Pasquale “Patsy” Parrello (photo above) pleaded guilty to extortion charges on Monday. The 72-year-old mobster drew a large support crowd in Manhattan’s federal courthouse, the New York Post reported.

Despite pleading guilty to ordering members of his Mafia crew to beat up and threaten debtors, the crowd remained loyal, some supporters even yelled “We love you!” as Parrello waved to them and thanked them for coming.

Parrello was arrested in a nationwide FBI bust in August of 2016 along with over forty mobsters of New York’s Genovese, Gambino, Lucchese, and Bonanno families and the Philadelphia crime family.

With his guilty plea, Parrello faces five to seven years behind bars. His sentencing is scheduled for September 7.
