The king is dead, long live the king. With Colombia’s most wanted drug lord Pablo Escobar lying dead on a rooftop, the cocaine business and its many players continue without skipping a beat. The downfall of Escobar’s Medellin cartel cleared the path for the rise of the rival Cali cartel, a more sophisticated organization, but every bit as deadly.

The Cali cartel is the focus of season 3 of the hit Netflix show Narcos, which returns worldwide on September 1. “Led by four powerful godfathers, this cartel operates much differently than Escobar’s, preferring to bribe government officials and keep its violent actions out of the headlines.”

In the newest trailer for season 3 of Narcos, we get a good peek at what this modus operandi entails. Check it out:

Season 3 will feature a star cast that includes the return of Pedro Pascal as DEA agent Javier Peña, even though – in real life - he had no role in taking down the Cali cartel. Several of the Cali bosses had roles in season 2 of Narcos and will make a return as well, including Damian Alcazar as Gilberto Rodriguez, Francisco Denis as his brother Miguel, and Pacho Herrera as Alberto Ammann.

They will be joined by several new cast members, including, as you could see in the trailer above, by famous “fluffy” comedian Gabriel Iglesias, who shows his dark side by playing the role of a drug dealer slash hitman.
