Jermarrieo Javone Stigger, 30, of Portsmouth, was sentenced Tuesday to 420 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute narcotics and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

According to court documents, Stigger was a high-ranking member of the Imperial Gangsta Bloods, a Portsmouth-based set affiliated with the United Blood Nation that engaged in drug trafficking and acts of violence, including multiple shooting incidents during the summer of 2014.

Operating out of Virginia Beach hotel rooms and other residences in Hampton Roads, Stigger bought and sold, and managed others who sold, substantial amounts of cocaine and crack cocaine. He was regularly armed during the course of the drug conspiracy, including with an assault rifle and numerous handguns.

The defendant and other members of the Imperial Gangsta Bloods who are awaiting sentencing were investigated in a joint operation by the FBI, the Portsmouth Police Department, the Virginia Beach Police Department, and the Virginia State Police.
