Everyone’s favorite sleazy lawyer is back! Season 4 of Better Call Saul premiers August 6th on AMC. The upcoming season looks set to be action packed, with Jimmy McGill on the verge of becoming Saul Goodman and Mike increasing his ties to drug lord Gus Fring.

After three seasons we have come to understand the pre-Breaking Bad world in which hustler-turned-lawyer James “Jimmy” McGill slowly but surely sinks down into the hole that will eventually transform him into Saul Goodman. We know his pitfalls, his reasoning, his fears and insecurities, his loves and hates.

Actor Bob Odenkirk who plays the character of Jimmy McGill knows that this transformation is coming soon and he doesn’t like it. “I’m having to confront the fact that he is becoming Saul, and I don’t like Saul,” Odenkirk told Entertainment Weekly.

Viewers, on the other hand, are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Saul. Better Call Saul has been praised by critics and the public, but both have made it a point to emphasize the series did take its sweet time getting to the stuff we loved about Breaking Bad.

That stuff? The blue ice. A mixture of violence, powerplays, death, destruction, and untold riches.

Luckily, former cop Mike Ehrmantraut (played by Jonathan Banks) was there to tease us into that world when he got mixed up with drug boss “Don” Hector Salamanca (played by Mark Margolis) and his underling Nacho Varga (played by Michael Mando).

That exciting storyline also introduced us to the main man behind it all: Gustavo “Gus” Fring (played by Giancarlo Esposito). A charming man who runs the successful fast food restaurant chain Los Pollos Hermanos and donates money to charity all the while he traffics copious amounts of meth.

Will these characters bump heads in season 4 of Better Call Saul? Watch the trailer below:
